As you may know, email Spam is becoming a more and more prevalent problem. In response to this problem many actions have been taken by hosting companies to help secure their servers. As times change, the methods of Spam change also. As a hosting company we sometimes have to make changes to ensure that email continues to work for everyone in a reliable manner. It is with this in mind that we announce some changes being made to our email policy.

Stop Sp@m
Email Forwarders (Redirects): Email is no longer allowed to be redirected to outside email accounts.
- Who will this affect?
- Users who are forwarding messages to yahoo.com, aol.com, hotmail.com, or any other email address not ending with the original domain name.
- EXAMPLE:
- Why This Change?
- Many Hosting companies are taking a stronger stance against Spam mail. To the point that servers will be blacklisted (email will not be accepted from that server) if they send Spam. If mail from your server is blacklisted, you will find it near impossible to communicate with other businesses via email. An Email forwarder works by Forwarding all messages sent to one email account to another email account – including the Spam! This means that your email account is essentially sending Spam to your other email account. If a company like Yahoo! detects a lot of Spam coming from a single source, in this example your email account, they will blacklist that source.
- Can I still receive my email from home?
- Yes! If you would like to receive your email from home or other places you can use Webmail. Every email account on our servers has access to webmail.
- The link to webmail is: http://webmail.YOURDOMAINNAMEHERE.com.
- I want to receive my email on Yahoo! or Gmail – I don’t like webmail.
